Any casual sports fan can tell you that much about boxing has changed over the past forty years. Championship bouts that were once an arduous fifteen rounds have shrunken to just twelve, the number of weight classes has basically doubled in count, and the label of “champion” – which once belonged to a select few of the world’s most celebrated men – is now shared by as many as four different titlists in any of the seventeen recognized divisions…
