Ringside is proud to support Edwin Rodriguez in his quest for a world championship
KANSAS CITY – Ringside, Inc. has announced the signing of undefeated super middleweight prospect Edwin“La Bomba” Rodriguez (19-0, 14 KOs) to a sponsorship deal.
“Ringside is proud to support Edwin Rodriguez in his quest for a world championship,”said Albert Guardado Jr., Executive Director of Marketing, Ringside Inc. “Edwin’s skill and dedication to the sport are evident in his undefeated record, and as a result, we foresee a long, storied career ahead of him. Together, Ringside and Edwin represent, ‘The Best in Boxing.’”
Rodriguez, a 26-year-old native of the Dominican Republic, returned to the ring August 20 to fight at home in Worcester (MA) for the third time in as many years, headlining a special edition of Broadway Boxing, presented by DiBella Entertainment, at historic Mechanics Hall. Edwin defeated intra-state rival and Iraq War veteran, Chris Traietti (10-2, 6 KOs), who suffered two broken ribs when “La Bomba” landed a devastating body shot, forcing Traietti to retire after two rounds.
Rodriguez, the reigning World Boxing Council USNBC champion, is presently rated among the top 13 by all four major governing bodies in professional boxing: International Boxing Federation (#8), World Boxing Association (#9), World Boxing Council (#12) and World Boxing Organization (#13).
“I’m grateful to have Ringside in my corner,” Rodriguez commented. “Ringside has great equipment and merchandise and I’m proud to be part of the Ringside team.”
