Main Fight for WBC USNBC Heavyweight Title Pairs Kenzie “TCB” Morrison Against Hasim “Gold Blooded” Rahman Jr., the Sons of Former World Heavyweight Champions, Tommy “The Duke” Morrison and Hasim Rahman
LAS VEGAS – Fight fans can rejoice over one of the most unique live boxing championship cards to date with the announcement of “Sons of Legends” featuring an unparalleled line-up of the sons of legendary boxers, duking it out, during Draft Weekend, starting at 7 p.m. at The Theater inside Virgin Hotels Las Vegas on Friday, April 29.
For the first time in boxing history, the sons of several former boxing champions will face off in the ring. Presented by Roy Jones Jr. Promotions in association with Ares Entertainment, the 10-round main event, for the WBC USNBC Heavyweight Championship Title, Kenzie “TCB” Morrison (19-0-2, 17 KOs), son of legendary two-time World Heavyweight Champion, Tommy “The Duke” Morrison, will take on Hasim “Gold Blooded” Rahman Jr. (12-0, 6 KOs), son of famed two-time World Heavyweight Champion, Hashim Rahman, who knocked Lennox Lewis out.
“This is the first time in boxing history that two sons of former heavyweight champions meet in the ring and I’m really excited to be a part of something so legendary,” said Rahman Jr. “A stacked line-up of talented fighters, raised by some of the biggest names in boxing history, is guaranteed to give fans an exciting fight. In one of the other most anticipated fights on the card, the co-main event features two highly touted prospects laying their futures on the line as Keith Hunter (14-1,9 KOs), son of legendary Heavyweight and Cruiserweight contender, Mike “The Bounty” Hunter takes on the udefeated Chuckie “YNG Pressure” Driver (12-0, 7 KO’s), in a battle to take a step towards title contention.
Additional sons of legends showcased on the fight card: Robert Duran Jr. (9-1, 7 KOs), the son of legendary four-division World Champion, “Manos De Piedra” Roberto Duran; Sharif Rahman (5-0, 3 KOs), the other son of Hasim Rahman; Gerald McClellan Jr. (1-0, 1 KO), son of former world Middleweight Champion, Gerald “The G-Man” McClellan. Also, making his debut, amateur standout, Steve Cunningham Jr., son of former World Cruiserweight Champion Steve “USS” Cunningham.
