THURSDAY: Heavyweight Knockout Aritist Bakhodir Jalolov Returns LIVE on ESPN+

(Feb. 3, 2025) —After conquering the amateur ranks again, Uzbekistan’s heavyweight knockout artist, Bakhodir Jalolov, resumes his professional career north of the border. Jalolov, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, will face David Spilmont in the 10-round co-feature this Thursday, Feb. 6, at Casino de Montréal in Montreal, Canada.

In the 10-round main event, rising junior welterweight contender Arthur Biyarslanov will defend his NABF belt against Mohamed Mimoune.

Promoted by Eye of The Tiger, Biyarslanov-Mimoune, Jalolov-Spilmont, and undercard action will stream live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+ starting at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.

Jalolov (14-0, 14 KOs) turned pro in May 2018 and returned to the amateur ranks on multiple occasions, a dominant run that included gold medals at the Tokyo and Paris Olympics. His amateur conquests include Top Rank stablemate Richard Torrez Jr., British standout Frazer Clarke, Gurgen Hovhannisyan, and Lenier Pero. He won all four of his Paris Olympic bouts by unanimous decision and now goes for his 15th straight knockout nearly 15 months removed from his last outing, a first-round stoppage of Chris Thompson. Spilmont (16-8-1, 11 KOs) has won five consecutive fights, four by stoppage. He will be making his North American debut.

The Russian-born Biyarslanov (17-0, 14 KOs), now based in Canada, captured the NABF strap last April with a fourth-round knockout over Elias Haedo. He defended that belt twice before the year ended, stopping then-unbeaten puncher Tamas Kiliti in September and notching a one-sided decision over Jonathan Jose Eniz the following month. Mimoune (24-6, 5 KOs) is a former European welterweight champion accustomed to fighting on enemy territory. Last August, he bested Irishman Tyrone McKenna in Belfast.
