Austin “No Doubt” Trout Training in the Mountains of New Mexico
Ruidoso, New Mexico – Undefeated light middleweight sensation, Austin “No Doubt” Trout (21-0, 13 KO’s), gears up for the biggest fight of his life when he travels to Mexico to challenge Rigoberto Alvarez (26-2, 19 KO’s) on February 5, 2011, for the vacant WBA World light middleweight title. The fight was originally scheduled to place at the Sergio Leon Chávez Soccer Stadium in Irapuato, Guanajuato Mexico, but has been moved to Guadalajara according to Trout.
“I just got word that the fight has been moved to Guadalajara, Mexico.” said Trout. “This is my first world title shot and I’m going to leave everything in the ring come fight night. My training camp has shifted to the high altitude mountains of Ruidoso, New Mexico, where the elevation approaches 7,000 feet. Abraham “Abie” Han, Joaquin Zamora and Arturo Crespin are some of the guys that I’ve brought into camp, as well as some others. My timing is on and I’m happy with the way this camp has been going. I just want to get in the ring with Alvarez and show the world that I belong with the elite fighters in my division.”
Louie Burke, trainer for Austin Trout stated, “We are getting great sparring from the guys we’ve brought in. Everyone is giving Austin great work. His weight is good. Training in this high elevation is going to prepare us for Mexico. Austin has been preparing for this moment his whole life and I’m confident he’ll be ready to go when we step in the ring.”
Having worked so hard to get to this point in his boxing career, Trout went on to say, “As a kid you always dream of becoming a world champion and on February 5th, my goal is to make that dream come true.”
